No sugar for 10 days diet

With prom quickly approaching, people are trying to find different ways to lose weight in order to fit and look good in their perfect prom dresses or suits.

In Lifestyle Fitness class, Mr. Worthington and Mr. Jones often say that our goal should be to get a prom bod or a beach bod. The class has been learning about nutrition and a healthier lifestyle in the health part of the.

I decided to make a change in my life and start a diet that would cleanse my system and give me more energy—no sugar for ten days. For ten days, I did not eat anything with added sugar or a sugar substitute. That left me eating fruits, vegetables, meat, chicken, eggs, peanuts, and treenuts.

I found this diet when I was on youtube. After watching the video by a nutritionist, I looked through the comments and looked at the videos of other people who had completed the diet to see if it would actually work.

On the first day of the diet, I planned my meals for that day along with the next three days; this was contrary to how I normally eat with no plan whatsoever.

For the first three days, it was painful to watch my friends eat whatever they wanted from cookies to candy to pasta to pizza. However, on the fourth and fifth day, I stopped having cravings for the foods that my friends were eating, because they just stopped looking good and they started to smell too greasy or too sweet

One thing that could be considered a blessing and a curse was that my sense of smell was heightened. I am allergic to pollen and dust which causes my nose to clog up a lot throughout the year, but throughout this diet it was not clogged.

The diet did not allow for the consumption of dairy products, so there was a lack of vitamin D and calcium which are needed vitamins. To combat the lack of nutrients, I took a multivitamin daily.

As a disclaimer, starting and continuing the diet requires a lot of self control.

I lost a total of 18 lbs over the course of ten days.
