The leaves fall as the air grows cold

With the harvest over and jack-o-lanterns dim.

A new holiday is approaching, and people are quick to decorate on a whim.

A time that should be filled with turkey and stuffing,

Is forgotten all because Mariah Carey is defrosting. 

As the stockings are hung on the chimney with care,

Her whistling melody is heard throughout the fall air.

To lose sight of thanksgiving is a little disheartening,

But it’s only mid November and her song is still charting.
