Was this a new take on pop culture? Or did this shun the long lasting success of iconic groups like Imagine Dragons as they were nominated for the same award? 

  With that being questioned, some may wonder if these are original, unique takes at all. “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” produced by EMI and Interscope Records is a combination of Elton John’s singles from the past decade. It was nominated for “song of the year” because of its revised take on classic tunes. This emphasizes how modern authenticity in music may not be developed to its full potential. It may seem like new blends of music have produced success for many celebrities, but it is the question of when music will take a new turn.

  On the topic of authenticity, the awarding of Taylor Swift’s exceptional music video for All Too Well: The Short Film was an unforgettable moment at the 2022 Video Music Awards. Fans worldwide were ecstatic as they watched their idol’s response to hate as it contradicted the actions of most modern day celebrities. She was spotted in the audience excitedly cheering on fellow celebrities and their successes.
