Taylor Swift has broken the internet once again with her ability to make the entire music industry hers, while simultaneously pissing off middle aged men.
Swift has been spotted multiple times recently with Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, and he has no shame in showing her off, unlike her previous lovers.
Barstool Sports reported that Kelce exclaimed, “As all the attention comes, I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and right now even more on top of the world” . As a Swiftie, I find myself holding a controversial take on this entire unproposed relationship between the two.
In the midst of the Eras Tour months ago, there had been rumors regarding Taylor Swift and Matty Healy seeing each other (although-thankfully-, they turned out to be false). Not long before, it had been announced that Swift’s seven-year-long relationship with Joe Alwyn had ended and that it was a mutual breakup. This ended up leading to multiple fans on both ends believing that Healy was a ‘rebound’ for Alwyn.
Taylor and Joe’s relationship was private to the outside world until Swift’s tenth album, Midnights, came out. when her fans analyzed the songs in the album, theorizing that Alwyn and Swift had split. This theory turned out to be trueSwifties in total disbelief.
In my opinion, Swift and Alwyn were a beautiful picture-perfect couple. They were the definition of “private but not a secret ” and played their roles thoroughly. The Swiftie community didn’t think there could be another love like that.
That was until Travis Kelce showed Swift what he could bring to the table, and it’s clear that he won’t just tolerate what she can give back. Although it seems that every Taylor Swift fan supports this new relationship and chapter in her life, I don’t see it all as glitz and glamor.
