Hey readers! Welcome to another review where today, we will be discussing a popular Minecraft SMP: the Life Series. If you aren’t familiar with the Life Series, it is about different Minecraft YouTubers who in each season try to be the last one standing. Think of it as similar to the Hunger Games.
Each season has twists and turns around the corner. You might have heard recently of the 5th season: Secret Life, which is very big on YouTube right now. So I decided to review each season and give my thoughts on it, celebrating the finale of the fifth season.
1st Season: Third Life

So how the 1st season worked was started out only on three lives. You would first start out on Green, then yellow, and finally red. If you are at red, then you are hostile. You can attack anyone you want but beware, if you lose your final life you are out of the game.
No,w since this was the 1st season, the game mechanics were pretty simple. I feel like since it was the starter, I didn’t like it that much because it was only three lives. So I would give this an 8/10. Overall, this is my opinion but if you want to check it out, feel free!
Like any other series, artists would create animatics based on the season. There are multiple animatics you could check out. One I highly would recommend is EverenArt.

2nd Season: Last Life

The next season of the Life Series is Last Life. This season brings many twists and turns as a new role is brought out: the Boogeyman. When you are the Boogeyman, all alliances are out the window and you have to kill someone else to remove the curse.
You have a random number of lives (meaning you could start from 2 or maybe 7). You can also gift lives to other people. This season adds 3 more YouTubers: MumboJumbo, LDShadowLady, and PearlescentMoon to the mix. Personally, this was my favorite season out of the Life Series so I’m ranking it a 9/10. 3rd Season: Double Life

Double Life is the 3rd season of the Life Series. In this season, each player has a soulmate where they are linked to another player. If a player dies or takes damage, the other player dies or takes damage. MumboJumbo and LDShadowLady were unable to make it this season, but PearlescentMoon was able to stick to the season. I like the concept of being linked to another player along with the return of monopolies, so I would rank this season a 9/10. I really like the animatic Everenart created for this season, many people liked it as well so check it out below along with the Double Life Playlist.

4th Season: Limited Life

The 4th season of the Life Series is Limited Life. Now this season’s mechanics are a bit confusing. Instead of having only three lives, instead it is replaced with time. You have 24 hours to live and if you die, you lose an hour. If you kill another player, you gain 30 minutes. You are green if you have 16+ hours, then yellow if you have 8-16 hours, and red if you have 8 or less. Once the timer hits zero, you are out of the series. Beware, as the Boogeyman makes a return. The Boogeyman doubles the gain and loss of time. So if you die to the Boogeyman, you lose 2 hours. If you are the Boogeyman, you gain an hour back. Due to how complex and complicated the mechanics are, I would rate this season a 5/10.

5th Season: Secret Life

Welcome everyone to the newest season of the life series: Secret Life! Secret Life is different from the other seasons because the three hearts are back with a twist. Now instead of time, you have 30 hearts with no regeneration. You also have an assigned task given to you that you have to complete by the end of each session.
If you complete your task by the end of the session, you gain 10 hearts along with some valuable items to use. If you fail, you don’t get anything. You can reroll tasks for hard but that means everything is doubled and if you fail, you lose 10 hearts
. When you are on green, you are peaceful. When you are on yellow, you can guess another person’s task. If you guess correctly, they have to hit fail. If you don’t guess correctly, you can’t guess for that person. Reds are hostile and have a task every time they complete a task, these tasks are different as you would have to cause damage to another player. You can also gift a heart to another player. I really liked this season, especially who won, and would rate it a 9/10.
