Welcome everyone to a series that I enjoy: the Knuckles Series. To briefly summarize, it is a Sonic spin-off series between the second and upcoming third movie. If you want to check out the trailer and more, you can click here.
The series is finally out, and I’m so happy to watch this. I didn’t play any Sonic games, but I love the movie franchise. This will be different from my regular reviews, as instead of watching the whole thing and reviewing, I want to watch each episode and then review them individually. If you haven’t already watched the first episode on Paramount Plus, be mindful that this contains spoilers.
One thing that immediately caught my attention was the humor. One part that I liked was the car scene where Knuckles and Wade are coming up with nicknames. I also like to see how new the modern world is for Knuckles from his point of view. Another funny part was how Wade was insulted by a six-year-old.
I also like to see some of the new characters, the Buyer is an interesting villain, especially wanting to go after Knuckles. I also liked seeing the dynamic behind the two government agents working for the Buyer.
Two parts that I also wanted to mention are we get to seeing Wade’s backstory. I was a little sad watching how Wade was abandoned by his parents. I know it can happen to some people, but it is still sad to hear in the show.
We can’t end this without the fight between Knuckles and the two government agents. I really enjoyed the fight between Knuckles and the government agents. I especially liked how they referenced the second Sonic film during the fight scene. I was a little upset that Knuckles was captured at the end. I thought that it was a little unfair, with the agents having one of Sonic’s rings. Overall I really enjoyed the first episode and would rate it as a 9/10 so far. I hope you enjoyed the review and I will see you all for the second episode.
