Hey everyone! Welcome back to another review, where we will be talking about the new season of Masked Singer: Season 11. Season 11 was by far one of my favorite seasons with the return of some familiar and new celebrities. I will be going over each performer all the way to who won the season. Here we go.
Last Place: Book (A.K.A Kevin Hart)
This was undoubtedly the best opener for Season 11. Who would have thought that Kevin Hart would be on the show? With his comedic personality, he fit right with the show. I liked his performance of So Sick by Ne-Yo, even though Nick and the panel didn’t really like it.
Second To Last Place: Afghan Hound (A.K.A Savannah Chrisley)
To be fair, I don’t know anything about this celebrity, but I do like how even though she wasn’t musically talented, she tried her best. I did like her battle royale song of Ding Dong the Witch is Dead from Wizard of Oz.
14th Place: Spaghetti and Meatballs (A.K.A Joe Bastianich)
To be honest, I feel like Joe and Koala should have stayed. I really liked Billy Joel Night on the Masked Singer. I feel like some people are robbed on Masked Singer, Joe being one of them, because most people choose music that is current, and the old time songs don’t usually guarantee the contestant to stay on the show. I feel like his rendition of Only the Good Die Young is so good because he sounded exactly like Billy Joel
13th Place: Sir Lion (A.K.A Billy Bush)
So I didn’t watch this episode, but looking back at his performances, I liked him. He kind of reminded me of Heat Miser in Year Without A Santa Claus, one of my favorite Christmas movies. I really liked his rendition of Love and Marriage.
12th Place: Lizard (A.K.A Sisqó)
To be fair, Sisqó had one of the best performances in the show.Might I add he is one of the few R&B singers that didn’t rap on the show. The previous one that I could think of was Monster (A.K.A T-Pain) all the way back in Season 1. I really liked his rendition of the Scooby Doo Theme Song.
11th Place: Lovebird (A.K.A Colton Underwood)
I really liked his singing voice. I would say my favorite performance was Home by Philip Phillips. I wasn’t too fond of All That You Are by the Goo Goo Dolls, which probably explains how he made it to 12th. He is also first person on the Bachelor to star on the show. Will there be more coming?
10th Place: Koala (A.K.A DeMarcus Ware)
Koala shouldn’t have gone home. He sounded perfect for Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears. It is just like what I was saying before, how people remove the contestants because it was an older song. I’m so disappointed.
9th Place: Ugly Sweater (A.K.A Charlie Wilson)
Ugly Sweater was a very interesting character. I know in the Masked Singer fandom recently he is quite popular. I liked his rendition of Brick House by the Commodores because it reminded me of Banana’s performance all the way back in season 3.
8th Place: Starfish (A.K.A Kate Flannery)
Starfish was such a cute character. I liked how she interacted with the audience. She doesn’t really have a good singing voice but I really liked her enthusiasm and energy on the show. I really enjoyed her rendition of Material Girl by Madonna.
7th Place: Miss Cleocatra (A.K.A Jenifer Lewis)
To be fair, I didn’t like Miss Cleocatra at all. I don’t know how she moved on, but I am so happy she’s out.
6th Place: Seal (A.K.A Corey Feldman)
I knew it! I knew that voice sounded familiar. To be honest, I was very happy with Corey finally being on the show. He has been mentioned multiple times on the show, so I was just hoping one season that he would come on the show. To be honest, he did make it difficult for me as he and Gumball were in the same group and I like both people. Also, I’m happy he made a Minecraft Story Mode reference in his final clue package before he left. I really liked his first performance so much.
5th Place: Beets (A.K.A Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken)
They were so good in Group B. I couldn’t tell who it was but it was fun seeing them on the show. The only thing I’m not fond of is how groups or just partners are on the show because it is fun seeing them, but also it is unfair to those like Gumball, where it was like a 2v1 situation. I feel like the Beets and Goldfish are giving Gumball a run for his money because they are so good. I have never watched American Idol. If you watched their season, let me know what happened because I know they were both against each other in Idol. I think whoever watches Masked Singer can agree that One Moment in Time by Whitney Houston was one of the best performances of the show.
4th Place: Poodle Moth (A.K.A Christy Metz)
I was so sad to see Poodle Moth go. Like Starfish, she was a cute costume. I love how the judges decided to save her before elimination because she was such a good performer. Price Tag was so fun for Poodle Moth.
3rd Place: Clock (A.K.A Thelma Houston)
Clock confused me so much. At the start, I thought it was Bette Midler because the way she did her first song reminded me of how Bette Midler would sing. Then she started singing soulful songs, so then I had to think of someone else. When soul singers, like Thelma Houston, appear on the show, it is so hard to think of who is because there are so many singers out there that are soul singers. I really liked her first performance.
2nd Place: Gumball (A.K.A Scott Porter)
At the beginning, I already loved Gumball. I was at first confused with guessing him because I thought it was either Jeremy Jordan or Scott Porter. I thought of Jeremy Jordan because when I heard his voice for the first time, it sounded like his voice. Then I leaned on Scott Porter because in the first clue package, there was a spider. I straight away thought of Scott Porter because in the first Spider Man video game, Scott Porter voiced Harry Osborn. I then went with Scott Porter and honestly learned more about him. I never really watched any of his famous movies and shows, like Hart of Dixie or Friday Night Lights. I mainly played a few video games that he was in. I never heard him sing before, which I think was why I couldn’t get him at first. I honestly feel like also that after hearing him for the first few rounds, I started to like country music. I’m so happy he was on the show and made it all the way to the finale. As a fan of the song Carry on My Wayward Son, Gumball absolutely did a great job with his rendition of Carry On My Wayward Son.
1st Place: Goldfish (A.K.A Vanessa Hudgens)
I knew this finalist too. I watched a few scenes from High School Musical, but I never really watched the whole thing. So when I heard Goldfish sing for the first time, I saw her first clue package showed two hearts, which reminded me of High School Musical. Many people in the comments were saying that it was Vanessa Hudgens, so I looked at one of the High School Musical songs with Vanessa Hudgens and when I compared it with Goldfish, it was definitely her. Thank you comment section! I feel like that my favorite was Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo or Show Must Go On by Queen.
Well, that is a wrap on Masked Singer Season 11. When the next season comes around, I hope to review it too and I will see you all soon.
