Key Clubbers
The world’s oldest and largest service club for high school students, Key Club, is in the midst of another busy year. With new advisor, Miss Stafford at the helm, Key Club provides members with a number of service opportunities. Some services performed this year include a cleanup of local walking trails, and Trick or Treat for UNICEF, which is a fundraiser held by all Key Club chapters to support the United Nations’ fund for needy children.
Additionally, Eastern’s Key Club was tasked with decorating Six Flags Great Adventure for the annual District Rally that encompasses 22 divisions of New Jersey. It’s the largest gathering of Key clubbers in the entire international organization. International Fall Rally. The theme for decorations was Monopoly.
The club is currently collecting small personal items for the RJK toiletry drive. Coming up in 2018, the club has planned a fundraiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, another cleanup, and a candy gram fundraiser.
“The officers have been a great help… letting me know how to run things,” Miss Stafford said. “So far, things are going pretty smoothly.”
