The Art of Bullet Journalism
It’s February 2018. Have you given up on those New Year’s resolutions yet? Maybe not.
We all want to procrastinate less, get more gym time, eat healthier, and get organized.
Bullet journaling is an excellent way to be organized in this new year. You can keep track of work, events, meetings, or anything you would want.
However, it takes a LOT of commitment to keep it up and not forget about it. It’s customizable and creative, and in the end, it could help your habits and even you as a person!
A bullet journal can be in any kind of book you would want. Lined, dotted, or even plain paper works fine as long as it works for you.
It usually consists of 3 main things: an index, calendar, and weekly spots. For the index you would easily start off with maybe the calendar, then events, birthdays, and plans for each week.
Perfection isn’t necessary. It’s something customizable for you! Almost every bullet journal has all the months of the year and events planted in them for reminders. They can be just small calendars or ones that take up the whole page.
For each month, you’ll be making weekly boxes to see what you’re going to have to do in school, work, or other activities. It keeps everything organized and you can get ahead of your plans easier.
For plans, you can keep them in regular bullets, or have different symbols for different events. Bullet journals are meant to be very simple, so don’t be afraid to keep it just that. There are arrows, stars, any symbol that you can remember for other activities. You can also make a habit tracker, exercise tracker, or a set
up for habits that you want to improve upon.
Lastly, be creative. It may be simple but it’s your own planner. You can make it into a journal, or a sketchbook—there are no limits to owning a bullet journal. You can put in pictures, make it artsy, and color coordinate.
There are plenty of inspirations online. Beautiful journals exist on Google or Instagram. There’s no end to what you can try to write or draw or create. Its main point is to make you organized, but why not get organized in
