Laurie Cox, administrative assistant, thrilled to be here
Drawn to Eastern by our districts caliber, new administrative assistant Ms. Laurie Cox has only positive things to say.
“I want to make sure that I am part of a team that has the high standards that Eastern already has for its academics, athletics, and activities,” Cox said.
She hopes to be a valuable part of Eastern’s modern school district and family.
Prior to coming to Eastern, Cox studied at Stony Brook University in Long Island and wore a corporate hat before changing to education. A majority of her work experience was done on the corporate level, and she had her series six and seven licenses in the broker industry. With a series six broker license, Mrs. Cox sold mutual funds, variable annuities and insurance premiums; a series seven license authorized the sale of any type of individual security.
Outside of work, Cox loves bootcamps, time with family, trips, theater, and reading. “I love all things centered around my family and outdoorsy,” said Cox.
Cox’s favorite places to visit are Turkey and the Greek Isles.
Although vacationing is always great, she loves coming to work everyday.
“I admire Dr. Melleby’s leadership and the team of teachers that are here. I am absolutely thrilled to be at Eastern,” said Cox.
