Senior Theatre Speeches: Faith Sirdashney
On closing night of every show, the seniors are given the opportunity to speak on their time as a member of Eastern Theatre, and share any advice they have to the underclass men. Due to the circumstances, this tradition was not able to happen. Now Faith can speak to the world.
More stories from Faith Sirdashney
“When I think back over the past 4 years, of James, Star Catcher, A Few Good Men, and Forum, what stands out to me most are the incredible people I’ve worked with and the wonderful friendships I’ve made.
I didn’t know many people in the theatre program as a freshman. I was in absolute awe of the talent, but I was especially amazed by how kind and welcoming the upperclassmen have always been. Being a senior is bittersweet because I definitely find myself missing those people. I cannot believe how quickly the 4 years have gone.
My advice to all of you who remain is don’t blink! The time goes by THAT quickly, and before you know it, you’ll be the one making your senior speech. I hope you all have the chance to experience the kindness, the encouragement, and the inspiration I have over these past four years. And if you can’t find it; BE IT for someone else! That’s what I’ve tried to do… Thank you so much.”
Favorite moment?
“There are lots of theatre memories to reflect on, but one of my favorites has to be the Winter and Spring Cabarets my sophomore year. I was able to perform a variety of pieces, some of them with some of my best friends.”
