From Winter to Spring

100 Word Stories

This drawing illustrates the brain surrounded by the pressure of perfection and constant productivity.

So cold and so still. The gears of creativity slow from the pressure of productivity.

There, in a corner of the dark room, a faint light radiates weakly from a dilapidated bud. The petals slowly shrink into a soulless center. Searching for light, for peace, and for energy with its tears.

I reached myself with a watering can and with a small star of resolution. To try again, to fight, to believe in me, to find energy in small joys, and to help others. The bud bloomed stronger and brighter; the petals a reminder of strength for itself and others.
