Eastern Loses to Timber Creek, 47-3

Eastern moves to 4-1

On October 6, Eastern set out to Sicklerville, NJ to face the Timber Creek High School Chargers. Eastern, currently ranked 80 in New Jersey, lost to Timber Crank, who are ranked 9 in New Jersey. Timber Creek quarterback Devin Leary had a standout game, even rushing to score one of Timber Creek’s many touchdowns.  The first score of the game was a 70+ yard pass to wide receiver Michael Johnson. On defense, outside linebacker Dallas Newkirk stripped the ball from Eastern quarterback Andrew Heck, causing a fumble. Safety Vance Carr recovered and ran back for another touchdown for Timber Creek. Ultimately, this was a tough loss for Eastern, but the team record is still at 4-1.  The next game is away against 2-2 Pensauken High School (as of when this article was published).  The game will be played on October 14.
