Dearest Olivia,
I hope all is well. With the release of your new album, ‘GUTS’, there has been a craze in the media of teenage girls all around the world going nuts. This album was certainly no bad idea; I give you a momentous congratulations to you for your third Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 with “Vampire”, as well as scoring the biggest debut for a solo song on Spotify so far in 2023. Being as I am a huge fan, I have some logical questions and points I’d like to address.
First and foremost, how do you know exactly how I feel? Did you sneak into my bedroom and steal my diary? If so, good for you I suppose. So many lines, from “I despise my jealous eyes and how hard they fell for you” to “When am I gonna stop being wise beyond my years and just start being wise?”, truly resonate with me.
Secondly, how does it feel to be a lyrical genius? Your lyrics and writing style hit me like a bag of bricks. From The Grudge, you sing that , “I know in my heart, hurt people, hurt people/and we both drew blood, but, man those cuts were never equal”. Those lyrics are beautiful yet heartbreaking- I hope ur ok!
Last but not least, I am greatly looking forward to seeing you on tour. Getting tickets may be brutal, but rest assured I will be in attendance!
Yours truly,
Maya Shull
